Views on accreditation Accreditation is a process of assessment of an organization, which is required to set standards for providing high quality services and is necessary to ensure and maintain quality. Accreditation is a measurable level of excellence, and the process itself improves performance. Further, many people are now looking for medical insurance coverage. They want to spend out-of-pocket. And now even the insurance companies insist on approved and accredited hospitals, labs, and other centers to qualify for their involvement. Quality improvement programs can develop public trust and confidence by demonstrating that the organization is seriously making efforts in improving patient care. On role of government in healthcare infrastructure sector Government can improve upon the infrastructure sector in the healthcare industry by doing public-private partnerships with major corporate hospitals and healthcare institutions.
