Construction work of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) branch in Orissa will be completed by 2012. Minister for Health and Family Welfare has reviewed the progress of the project and made a field visit to Sijua, near Bhubaneswar, where the medical institution is being set up. The State Government has provided 100 acres for the project, out of which, 93 acres had already been handed over. The hospital will have 978 beds with 15 super specialist and 18 specialist departments.
