150 Mohalla Clinics To Be Opened Today In Delhi

Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal will inaugurate 150 new mohalla clinics on Sunday, taking the total number of the neighbourhood primary health care clinics in Delhi to 450.

Officials said the state government’s mission is to ensure that every Delhiite gets free healthcare facilities within a radius of one kilometre of their homes.

“It has been our mission to provide high quality, free healthcare facilities to all residents of Delhi near their homes. We are now close to achieving this goal,” Kejriwal had said in October last year in a function organised near Sangam Vihar flyover in Timarpur to mark the opening of 100 such clinics.

Over the last five years, Kejriwal said, the number of mohalla clinics inaugurated is more than the number of primary health centres opened in the entire country. “Last year, the Australian government invited Satyendar Jain (health minister) to tell them about mohalla clinics, but he was not allowed to travel. Nonetheless, people still talk about our work all over the world.-Times Of India
