Agappe entered point-of-care diagnostics and CLIA immunology markets

Agappe, your best partner in diagnostics is fully aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision on Atmanirbhar Bharat or self-reliant India. Agappe continues to expand its portfolio of IVD products in various segments in diagnostics.

Agappe and POC
Agappe has added several offerings in the point-of-care (POC) segment of IVD to address the testing needs of critically ill patients, in intensive care units, emergency departments, operation theaters, and at stat labs. POC technologies are currently available with high accuracy reports in a shorter turnaround time, enabling healthcare professionals to quickly decide on the course of treatment, potentially saving a patient’s life.

Globally, POC ideas have been embraced more quickly. Testing done close to the patient or at the bedside greatly enhances the patient-centric approach to timely care. POC technologies are frequently created with access to high-quality data in the mobile telephony era. With reduced reliance on highly qualified technicians, healthcare professionals may make those crucial decisions concerning a patient’s course of treatment more quickly, potentially saving golden minutes (not hours). For instance, sending ICU/ICCU samples to a lab, waiting for the results, and then choosing the therapy could sometimes result in the loss of vital time or even life. Additionally, POC testing is now quite inexpensive and accessible to all classes of Indian hospitals and clinics.

In our POC division, we have introduced Mispa ChemDx– automated POC dry-chemistry analyzer. We are broadly covering the major biochemistry assays in our three comprehensive test profiles, which comprise of general chemistry – 19 parameters, renal and electrolytes with 10 parameters, and liver profile with 10 parameters, with less than 100 microliter of whole blood.

We introduced hemoglobinometer–Mispa HBx, cuvette-based photometry handheld device that delivers Hb+Hct in less than 3 seconds.

Agappe Diagnostics POC division, in partnership with EKF US, offers a unique mother’s milk centrifuge-cum-reader, Creamatocrit plus, to check the calories and fat content in the mother’s milk with very small volume of milk (2–3 mL) to support NICU/OBG professionals to assess the need for right calories and fat for faster recovery of pre-term babies and low-birth-weight infants.

Agappe Diagnostics is marketing qLabs Q3 PLUS coagulation meter exclusively in India for hospital segment with PT INR and APTT combo strips with the drop of blood at near-patient testing. We are shortly introducing AG Arteria – arterial blood gas pre-heparinized syringe, and Mispa Immuno DX, a POC immunoassay analyzer, to address the specialized cardiac, renal, sepsis, and inflammatory biomarkers.

Agappe and CLIA
Agappe’s yet another foray is into immunology segment, with updated chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) analyzer and its reagents. Agappe has come up with 180 test throughput automatic CLIA, system supported with indigenously manufactured reagents, first time in India. Agappe will continue to add more analyzers in CLIA in the coming years. The most comprehensive test panels include bone chemistry and metabolic, thyroid, cardiac, fertility, infectious, cancer, diabetic, and cancer. Agappe would be able to provide moderately priced immunological solutions across India as a result of this Atmanirbhar campaign.

Agappe has introduced i-1000 CLIA equipment system, where magnetic microparticles-based Acridinium Ester (AE) direct chemiluminescence technology is used. This AE system is completely suitable to a variety of applications due to its consistent performance, quick report, convenient operation, and accurate results. The architecture of the i1000 might enable large hospitals’ assay development and STAT tests in addition to meeting the needs of medium and small hospitals for routine tests. The accuracy and dependability of the test results could be guaranteed with well-defined traceability system.

This CLIA analyzer can handle 180T per hour with the help of 30 reagent-loading locations and 50 sample-loading positions. An error-free reagent-management system is made possible by reagent vials that integrate RFID. A sophisticated cuvette- handling system, using disposable cuvettes with barcode support, manages each test.

Agappe sells each reagent in 1×100 T packets. The calibrators are included in the package, and there is enough material for five calibrations to satisfy the 35-day stability requirement for open vials. Additionally, the reagents can be traced to widely used quality-control systems.

Thus, by adding a wide choice in POC and CLIA, Agappe has emerged as the first true Indian IVD company that offers holistic solutions in the field of IVD, addressing the diagnostics needs in all key segments.
