Aster DM Healthcare board appoints Nitish Shetty as CEO

Upon recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the Board of Directors of the Company on March 16, 2023 has approved the appointment of Dr Nitish Shetty as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aster DM Healthcare Ltd – India (not in the capacity of KMP) with effect from March 16, 2023.

Dr Nitish Shetty who has been in leadership positions across various healthcare organizations joined Aster as CEO of Aster CMI Hospital, Bengaluru in 2014. He was later promoted as the Regional Director, Aster Hospitals (Karnataka and Maharashtra cluster) & Aster Labs. Based on the recommendations of the NRC and the Board of Directors he is now being elevated to the role of CEO of Aster DM Healthcare Ltd – India.

Dr Nitish Shetty is a strong healthcare services professional with an M.D in Hospital Administration from KMC Manipal and MBBS from M.R Medical College.

Dr Nitish Shetty is an experienced hospital & healthcare Senior Executive with demonstrated industry experience. A strong healthcare services professional with a MBBS UG degree and M.D in Hospital Administration, he has alleviated excellence in conceptualizing and implementing various business strategies. In his long and illustrious career of over two decades, he has Spearheaded new business ventures, driven seamless acquisition integration and consistently delivered strong and sustainable financial results.

His leadership portfolio includes managing a wide spectrum of financial and non-financial parameters to secure business excellence and a sound work culture within the organization. He is Proficient in overseeing and leading teams for running successful business operations and sets unparalleled benchmarks for clinical and customer excellence. His tried and proven business and people strategies have successfully fuelled and accelerated growth within the organization.

He had joined Aster CMI hospital as a CEO in November 2014 and was later promoted as Regional Director of the Karnataka & Maharashtra cluster in October 2021. His meticulous planning and execution continue to drive the business growth and success of the cluster.

Shares of Aster DM Healthcare Limited was last trading in BSE at Rs. 230.65 as compared to the previous close of Rs. 232.10. The total number of shares traded during the day was 20832 in over 691 trades.
