Aurobindo Pharma Unit-XV Gets Clearance from Malta Drug Regulator

The drug regulator of Malta has issued a good manufacturing certificate to Aurobindo Pharma Ltd’s unit-XV located in Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, following an inspection on February 3, 2019. The certificate allows the drug maker to export formulations to Malta and other members of the European Union for the next 3 years. Although, Malta is not one of the key markets for the company within the European Union, continued supply to the country ensures that the company can get stronger foothold in the region.

The European Union is a key growth region for the company especially in the light of the slowdown in sales growth in the US, the world’s largest drug market by value.
