Ayushman Bharat, New Schemes Changing Health Scenario of Country: Min

The NDA Government’s new schemes and programs, including Ayushman Bharat, have contributed to changing the health scenario of the country, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel said Thursday. ”Ayushman Bharat is being implemented at an unprecedented scale to build new India by 2022 and will bring a paradigm shift in India’s healthcare sector. This holistic and comprehensive approach towards healthcare will definitely achieve the goal of Health for all,’’ she told the gathering at the 15th India Health Summit, an annual flagship event on healthcare, organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here. She described it as a holistic initiative in the public health sector aimed at fixing the current fragmented and inequitable healthcare system of providing continuum of care covering primary, secondary and tertiary aspects of healthcare along with financial risk protection to the poor. It was a step towards fulfilling the vision of National Health Policy, 2017 and adopting a continuum of care approach through its two pillars of Health and Wellness Center aimed at bringing healthcare to the homes of people. – United News of India
