Azim Premji Foundation to open hospital in Jharkhand
Azim Premji Foundation will set up university and hospital in Jharkhand.
Azimji Premji Foundation CEO Anurag Behar on Thursday met chief minister Hemant Soren expressed its intention to open a university in Jharkhand. The CEO informed that Rs 1200 to 1400 crores will be spent on setting up the university and its campus will be spread over 150 acres. Along with this, the foundation will cooperate in improving the model schools being built by the government.
The Chief Minister urged for cooperation in the health sector. The Foundation has reiterated its resolve to ensure its participation in the development of the state.
Anurag Behar, CEO of Azim Premji Foundation met Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday and reiterated his resolve to ensure his participation in the development of Jharkhand. He told the Chief Minister that the Foundation would play an active role in the development of education, quality education and improving the academic environment in Jharkhand. The Chief Minister assured the foundation of all possible cooperation from the government.
Recently, the intention of opening a university here has been expressed by the Foundation during the online conversation of Azim Premji founder of Wipro Company with Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
The Chief Minister said that the foundation should cooperate in the direction of making the health sector better and stronger in the state. So that, the people here can get high quality medical facilities in their own state and they do not have to go to big cities and other states for treatment.
