Blood Donation Camp at MMU

The NSS unit of the Maharishi Markendeshwar University (MMU), Sadopur, organized a blood donation camp on Tuesday in collaboration with Rotary and Blood Bank Society Resource Center, Chandigarh. Harish Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of MMU, Sadopur, inaugurated the event. He said blood donation is considered Mahadan and every individual should donate blood at least once in their life. The team of Rotary Club, under the supervision of Dr Roli Aggarwal and Technical Head Vijay Sudan, collected the blood units. Sharma said September 11 was a historic day for MMU as it is the birthday of Tarsem Kumar Garg, a visionary and the founder of the university. He laid the foundation of the university trust on this day 25 years ago. Since then the group has progressed by leaps and bounds and Foundation Day is celebrated with fervor, he added. As many as 121 units of blood at the camp. A blood donation camp was also organized at the MMU, Mullana campus, in which 72 NSS volunteers donated blood.
