Capt. Abhimanyu Allocates Rs 5040.65 Crore for Health & Family Welfare Sector
Haryana Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu said that the state government is committed to provide quality healthcare to all citizens through a widespread network of 63 hospitals, 125 community health centers, 509 primary health centers, 2636 sub-health centers, seven trauma centers, three burn care units and 57 urban dispensaries/polyclinics in the state. Stating this while presenting the state budget for the year 2019-20 during the ongoing Budget Session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha here on Monday, Capt Abhimanyu said that Rs 5040.65 crore has been allocated in BE 2019-20 for health and family welfare sector, which is an increase of 12.3 percent over the RE outlay of Rs 4486.91 crore in 2018-19. This includes an outlay of Rs 3126.54 crore for Health and Family Welfare, Rs 1358.75 crore for Medical Education and Research, Rs 337.20 crore for Ayush, Rs 172.49 crore for Employees State Insurance Healthcare and Rs 45.67 crore for Food and Drugs Administration. He said that Haryana is the first State in the country to raise the first claim under the Ayushman Bharat scheme launched across the country in 2018. Till February 15 this year, an amount of Rs 6.96 crore has been released in 4,596 claims and 5.60 lakh records have been generated under the scheme. – United News of India
