Cargill donates 150 oxygen cylinders and 30 concentrators

COVID-19 continues to affect Indian citizens and affect the healthcare infrastructure of our local communities. As a dedicated local employer, Cargill is collaborating with the local Bathinda, Punjab administration in a sustained effort to increase the availability of the necessary healthcare resources . Most recently, Cargill donated 150 Oxygen Cylinders and 30 Oxygen Concentrators to local health authorities. These were formally handed over to district administration in presence of Shri B. Srinivasan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Shri Balwinder Singh IPS, Superintendent of Police, Shri Tejwant Singh Dhillon, Chief Medical Officer among other government officials.

In true sense, they have been the frontline warriors and have done everything they could to protect us. We hope our contribution of the oxygen cylinders and concentrators in Bathinda would help citizens access timely and proper medical treatment in fighting against the viral disease.” said Simon George, president of Cargill in India.

Officials including Shri Darshan Kumar, Secretary Red Cross Society, Bathinda, Shri Vishal Singla, Deputy Director of Factories, Shri Preet Mohinder Brar, General Manager- District Industries Center and Shri Gurdas Singh, District Public Relation Officer were also present during the handing over of oxygen cylinders and concentrators.
