Citizens over 70 to receive Ayushman Bharat benefits in MP

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav affirmed on Sunday that all elderly individuals aged 70 and above would receive benefits of up to Rs 5 lakh through the Ayushman Bharat scheme. Emphasizing inclusivity, he stated, “Irrespective of caste, creed, or socio-economic background, citizens aged 70 and above will be eligible for Ayushman Yojana benefits, benefiting countless seniors.” Furthermore, he highlighted the unprecedented provision of air ambulance services by the government, a feature not seen in any other nation.

He also urged citizens to cast their votes in large numbers, expressing confidence that Madhya Pradesh would witness significant progress under the governance of a double-engine government. Earlier on Saturday, former Congress Party MLA Kunal Choudhary strongly criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), labeling it as a fraudulent entity. Speaking to reporters at the state Congress office in Bhopal, Choudhary remarked, “I assert that the Bharatiya Janata Party is deceptive.

In 2014, they (BJP) made false assurances such as creating two crore jobs, recovering black money, depositing Rs 15 lakh in people’s bank accounts, reducing LPG cylinder prices to Rs 200, lowering petrol and diesel costs to Rs a litre, and doubling farmers’ income. These were all deceitful promises made by the Bharatiya Janata Party, a party built on deceit.”

Polling for the Lok Sabha in Madhya Pradesh is set to unfold across four phases. The electoral process commenced with voting in the state’s constituencies on April 19 and 26. Two more phases are slated for May 7 and May 13. The culmination of this democratic exercise will be witnessed on June 4 with the counting of votes.

Madhya Pradesh boasts a significant electoral presence, contributing a total of 29 Lok Sabha constituencies. This positions the state as the sixth-largest in terms of its representation in the Lower House of Parliament. Within this tally, 10 seats are designated for SC and ST candidates, underscoring efforts towards inclusive representation, while the remaining 19 seats are unreserved, reflecting the broader electorate’s diversity and dynamics.
