DMC Begins Telemedicine Services for Patients

Dayanand Medical College (DMC) has started the noble venture of telemedicine as a pilot project with rural (at Pohir) and urban (at Shimla Puri) centers of the DMC. Experienced experts of the DMC will render advice to patients in complex and challenging cases. This will help in the reducing the gap between the specialist doctors and the patients. After the completion of this project, the DMC will offer its services to far-flung areas of Punjab through NGOs and charitable hospitals. This is a first of its kind project which has been initiated by the DMC. Prem Kumar Gupta, secretary, DMCH managing society, inaugurated the event. Principal Dr Sandeep Puri, vice-principal Dr Gurpreet Singh Wander were also present. – Tribune India
