Emergency Health Training by Continental Hospitals

Continental Hospitals on Sunday launched ‘I am Emergency Ready’ initiative aimed at training general public on Bystander Life Support (BLS), which will equip them to offer immediate care to anyone facing a medical emergency and keep the patient stable till professional medical help arrives, a press release said. The BLS training will be given to individuals like auto drivers, roadside vendors, school students and teachers, parents, social workers, security guards amongst others. The trainees will receive certification and an emergency toolkit at the successful completion of training. The hospital doctors will also train employees in various corporate companies in Hyderabad.

CEO of Continental Hospital, Faisal Siddiqui said, “In times of medical emergencies, bystanders are often unable to do anything to stabilize the patient before professional help arrive. Thus, in trauma cases it is imperative for a person to be ready for a spontaneous intervention and through this initiative we aim to raise both awareness and preparedness required to identify and manage common medical emergencies”. Actors Priyadarshi Pullikonda, Krishnaswamy Srikanth Iyengar and top officials from a host of corporate companies from Hyderabad were present. – Telangana Today
