Emergency medicine dept of Hamidia Hospital in a month

Medical Education Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang inspected the arrangements for construction of Emergency Medicine Department in the newly constructed buildings of Hamidia Hospital and transfer of Sultania Hospital. Minister Sarang inspected the arrangements in all the wards of Emergency, Pediatric, Obstetrics and Gynecology departments and expressed displeasure over the shortcomings.

Sarang said that patients and their families would be able to avail world class facilities as a dream project, better than in private hospitals in the Emergency Medicine Department of Hamidia Hospital. He said that recruitment has also been completed for the department, due to which this wing would be ready in about a month.

Sarang said that the action plan for the shifting of Sultania Hospital has been completed. The shifting of the hospital will take about a month.

Sarang inspected various wards of the Emergency Department and instructed the officials of PIU to conduct a survey and prepare a checklist to speed up the work. The checklist will contain details of remaining work, responsible person, related department and medical equipment.

The Minister instructed to construct the entrance gate of Hamidia Hospital’s new Emergency Medicine Department by breaking the boundary wall of the hospital from the turn from Peergate side for the entry of vehicles carrying patients including ambulances. the Minister Shri Sarang also directed to expand the shed of the waiting area built in the Emergency Department.

While inspecting the Fire Control Room and CCTV Control Room of the Emergency Ward of Hamidia Hospital, Minister Shri Sarang expressed displeasure with the PIU agency officials over negligence. He also directed to stop the payment along with imposing a fine on the company for negligence in the control room.

Sarang interacted with the parents of children who came for the treatment in the audio-therapy room of the Pediatric Department in the new building of Hamidia Hospital and inquired about the well being of the children. He inquired about the service being provided by the doctors in the hospital, on which the parents expressed satisfaction.

The Minister expressed displeasure over the contractor for the damage to the carpet of the operation theater during the inspection of the Maternity department. Seeking a written report, he directed to lodge a complaint against the agency and impose fine.

Sarang also inspected the Sports Complex and Canteen of Gandhi Medical College. During an interaction with the students in the canteen, he inquired about the quality of the food being provided in the canteen, after which he issued directives.
