ERBA hematology range from Transasia Bio-Medicals Ltd.

The Indian hematology analyzer market is witnessing a steady growth on account of ongoing technological advancements. Rising prevalence of blood disorders, such as anemia, cancers, and other hemorrhagic conditions is also expected to drive the growth of India hematology analyzer market.

Transasia Bio-Medicals Ltd. introduced the Erba hematology range of analyzers in India three years ago, and has successfully sold over 15,000 units till date, thereby retaining its No. 1 position in the Indian hematology market. A result of in-depth research and development at the group’s European center, the Erba hematology range includes the 3-Part (H360) and 5-Part (H560 and ELite 580) fully automated hematology analyzers, reagents, and controls with a host of features that help institutions, clinicians, and laboratory technologists to offer accurate diagnosis.

Erba H360, is equipped with advanced clinical features for efficient diagnosis. It is well appreciated by users for its accurate reports, robustness, high linearity, user-friendliness, good correlation with microscopic findings, and affordable pricing.

The analyzer offers 22 clinical parameters, including P-LCC, P-LCR, PDW SD, PDW CV, and supports clinical investigation in cases with abnormal platelet counts. The analyzer also supports screening for anemia with the help of RDW-SD, RDW-CV, and MCV. Further, low sample volume provision caters to geriatric and pediatric samples. In addition, real-time inventory-monitoring facility helps in tracking the replenishment status and ensures adequate stocking at the customer end.

Erba H360 also flags those specimens that require microscopic slide review, and facilitates convenient patient data review with customizable consolidation reports for clinicians’ review. The analyzer also boasts short- and long-term precision within 2 percent.

With a throughput of up to 60 samples/hour, a built-in thermal printer, and an easy user interface, the analyzer delivers ease, efficiency, and reliability.

Erba H560, a compact state-of-the-art 5-part differential hematology analyzer is equipped with additional clinical parameters, user-friendly advanced software and LIS connectivity for enhanced patient care. Utilizing a combination of electrical impedance and three angle laser flow cytometry, the H560 provides high-quality WBC differentials and detailed platelet analysis. A throughput of up to 60 samples/hour, cost-effective three-reagent design, and an automated diluent dispense mode (ADDM) translate into precision, efficiency, and low running costs.

The instrument captures intra-cellular density and plots four 2D scattergrams for better clinical review and enhanced diagnosis. The scattergram displays a profound picture to the pathologists for capturing the immature cells, thereby helping in the clinical diagnosis.

H560 also increases laboratory efficiency by decreasing the number of false-positive flags due to high sensitivity and specificity. It also has provision to include microscopic investigations like Blasts, etc., in the printed report.

Erba H560 offers 36 parameters including NLR, NRBC, Mentzer Index, and RDWI.

NLR (neutrophil lymphocyte ratio) is a novel prognostic marker for predicting short- and long-term mortality in patients with Covid-19, cancer, sepsis, CVD, and post-operative complications.

NRBC rules out leukemia, anemia or spleen disorder.

Mentzer index and RDWI: screening indices for IDA and β-Thalassemia.
