Faridabad to have 200-bedded MCH Block at Civil Hospital

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has given in-principal approval for construction of 200-bedded Mother and Child Hospital (MCH) Block at Civil Hospital, Faridabad, officials said on Tuesday.

Mr Khattar said that in view of the high delivery load and bed occupancy of more than 70 per cent the need for construction of a 200-bedded hospital was observed and hence the approval for the same has been granted.

Besides this, establishment of MCH Wings/Blocks has been approved in six districts of the state under NHM.

Also, establishment of five MCH Blocks is in process in District Civil Hospitals of Panchkula, Sonepat, Panipat, Faridabad and Palwal. One MCH Block is being established in Medical College Nalhar by Department of Medical Education and Research. United News of India
