Government Gives Nod for 30 Bed-Hospital at Kazipet
If everything goes on expected lines, a 30-bed government hospital will come up at Kazipet locality, here, soon. The authorities of District Medical and Health Department have already sent the proposal to State government and the government had also given its consent to set up the hospital, if suitable building was available. Following this the authorities have identified a building on the premises of the circle office of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) at Kazipet and are holding talks with the municipal officials to handover the building to the Medical and Health Department. Warangal West MLA Dasyam Vinaya Bhaskar, who is keen to set up the hospital at Kazipet, is also trying to convince the officials of GWMC to handover the building as it is suitable for setting up hospital.
District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO) Dr Harish Raj said that they were hopeful that the GWMC would accord permission to the Medical Department to set up the hospital on their premises. “All the major hospitals such as MGMH, CKM, Maternity hospital and TB Hospital are either in Warangal or Hanamkonda. But there is no government hospital in Kazipet area of the city. Keeping this in view, a proposal to set up the hospital in Kazipet locality was made, and luckily the State government is also in favor,” he said. When asked if the GWMC does not handover the building to Medical Department, Harish Raj said they would try to identify some vacant government land and set up the hospital.
“But identifying suitable government land is a bit complex issue due to different reasons. Due to this setting up of hospital may be delayed,” he added. If the 30 bed-hospital becomes a reality, there will be six doctors, eight staff nurses and other staff working at the hospital as per the existing pattern of the staff. – Telangana Today
