Government Issues Guidelines to Heads of Health Institutions in J&K

The government issued guidelines with regard to procedures to be adopted in the health institutions across the State. According to an order issued by the Principal Secretary, Health and Medical Education Department, “All the Heads of Healthcare Institutions working under the Administrative control of Health and Medical education Department are advised that all the doctors working in various institutions shall inscribe their seal and signature along with their qualification and registration number on all the documents signed by them which may include prescriptions/ investigations/referrals to tertiary care institutions/certification of medical bills/medico legal cases and other documents, where their signature is to be assigned.” This order further reads that these instructions are for strict and immediate implementation.
