Haryana Government to Buy Advanced Lithotripsy Machine from France: Vij

Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said that an advanced lithotripsy machine of about Rs 3.50 crore would come from France which would be able to remove kidney stones without operation. “This machine would reduce the expenses and would also not adversely affect the health of the patient,” said the Health Minister after inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of facilities to the tune of about Rs 6 crore at Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantonment. Vij said that a blood bank with 300 units capacity has been set up in the hospital to ensure to provide blood at the time of need. He said that machines have been arranged for the safe preservation of platelets, where they could be stored safely for up to five days. Two deep freezers have been installed for storing plasmas and there is an arrangement of three refrigerators for storing blood, Vi said. The Health Minister also encouraged the blood donors, pinned badges and distributed certificates to them, during a blood donation camp organised by Red Cross in the hospital. – Daily Pioneer
