Health Department To Recruit 737 Doctors

JAIPUR: Reeling under shortage of doctors, he health department will recruit 737 doctors along with 15,000 paramedical staff.

With state government taking measures to upgrade 18 district hospitals into medical colleges, the health department needs additional doctors. The government is identifying land in 18 districts for the construction of medical colleges. However, shortage of human resource for medical colleges has always remained a problem for the health authorities.

In a meeting held at State Institute of Health & Family Welfare (SIHFW), health
minister Raghu Sharma said that he has issued direction to the officials to immediately start recruitment process of 737 doctors to address the problem of shortage of doctors.

Among with recruitment of doctors, the health department is also employing 15,000 nurses, lab technicians, pharmacists and ECG technicians. The process of recruitment is in the progress, he said. – Times of India
