Hyderabad: Green Corridor Helps Transportation of Live Organs

It took just 26 minutes for an ambulance to cover a distance of 29 kilometers. On Tuesday morning, a green corridor was created by the Hyderabad and Cyberabad Traffic police to transport a live heart and lungs from Gleneagles Global Hospital in Lakdi ka pul to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad. Traversing through some roads that usually witness heavy traffic congestion, the green corridor that started from Gleneagles Global Hospital at 2.58 am reached the airport at 3.24 am. The live organs were transported to Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. The efforts of Hyderabad and Cyberabad Traffic Police in transportation of organs were applauded by the management of Gleneagles Global Hospitals, Hyderabad. – TOI
