IGIMS to Procure Q Lasik Machine

State health minister Mangal Pandey on Sunday said Q Lasik machine, which is used in correcting the vision problem using laser technique, will be procured for Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences. He was inaugurating one such machine at a private eye hospital on Ashiana-Digha road. “Any development in the medical field, be it public or private sector, gives me immense pleasure. Chief minister Nitish Kumar has instructed us to make available all kinds of health facilities in the state. Let’s bring this machine at IGIMS so that common people can avail its benefit,” said Pandey and instructed IGIMS director Dr N R Biswas and medical superintendent Dr Manish Mandal to submit a proposal to the health department in this regard. Both Dr Biswas and Dr Mandal were present there. The minister also asked the doctors present there to take care of the poor and provide them cheaper medical facilities. Indian Medical Association president (Bihar chapter) Sahjanand Prasad Singh, JD(U) leader Dr Sunil Kumar Singh, Dr Navneet Kumar and BIA members Manish Tiwari and Ved Prakash were present on the occasion. – TOI
