Large Number of People Donate Blood in Warangal

The Central Zone DCP B Venkat Reddy said that one should not forget the policemen, who laid down their lives for society. He inaugurated the blood donation camp organised by the Central zone and Armed Reserve (AR) wing of the police in association with the officials of the MGM Hospital’s blood bank at the Police Commissionerate here on Saturday. The blood donation camp was organised as a part of the ongoing Police Commemoration Week. Speaking on the occasion, he said that one person can give life to at least four people by donating the blood and urged the people to come forward to donate the blood. He also called upon the police to support the family members of the police personnel who sacrificed their lives.

Nearly 200 people, including police personnel, firemen, merchants, auto-drivers, and others donated blood at the camp. The donors were given certificates and fruits on the occasion. Additional DCP (Crime) Billa Ashok Kumar, ACPs, and others were present at the camp. Meanwhile, essay writing competition was conducted as part of the event at Peruru in Wazedu mandal by the police on Saturday. Blood donation camp was also held at DLR Function Hall by the police at Mulugu. Additional Superintendent of Police Rajamahendra Naik inaugurated the camp. Mulug DSP Vijaya Sarathi and other officials were present. – Telangana Today
