Lucknow: Civil Hospital Opens 26-Bed Swine Flu Ward

A day after TOI highlighted that WHO protocol and guidelines to prevent spread of swine flu are not being followed in three major government-aided hospitals in the city, SPM Civil hospital authorities created a 26-bedded separate swine flu ward on Saturday. A separate evolution room for flu patients has also been made.

Hospital director Dr DS Negi said, “Awareness posters and signage have been installed so that such patients can directly reach the evaluation room.” Hospital staff has been vaccinated and adequate stock of Tamiflu is present at the hospital.-Times Of India
