Maha receives ADB loan, gives clearance for hospital construction in Dharashiv

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday gave instructions to take immediate steps to set up an up-to-date hospital with 500 beds in Dharashiv district of Marathwada region.

Speaking in a meeting held at Sahyadri guest house here, he reiterated that he aims to bring radical changes in the health system.

Shinde said that the Asian Development Bank has approved a pending loan of Rs 4,000 crore.

Earlier, Rs 1,200 crore had been sanctioned in-principle to build up-to-date and quality hospitals in the desired districts, he informed.

Accordingly, the Chief Minister gave an instruction to complete the formalities regarding building a 500 bed hospital in Dharashiv district., he added.

Through this loan from ADB, the government aims to strengthen medical education and tertiary care in the state, Shinde expressed. United News of India
