Maternity Hospital in Jagtial at ₹17 Crore
A 100-bed mother and child hospital will be constructed in Jagtial at a cost of ₹17 crore. The foundation for the hospital was laid by finance minister Etela Rajender and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha on Monday. At a function where several workers from the Congress and TDP joined the TRS in Jagtial, Kavitha expressed confidence that TRS would bag the Jagtial Assembly seat in the next elections. T Jeevan Reddy of the Congress represents the segment now. She said TRS candidate M Sanjay Kumar may have lost the battle in the 2014 elections but he has rejuvenated the party in the last four years. “He did not allow the poll debacle to deter his confidence and worked tirelessly for the party,” she said. Sanjay is party in-charge of Jagtial. Rajender was also present at the function. Later, LPG cylinders were distributed to mid-day meal workers at a school in Jagtial by Kavitha, who also unveiled the Telangana Talli statue. – TOI
