Mother & child hospital to be completed by March, DC

The Mother and Child hospital, being constructed adjacent to the Una District Hospital at Rs 30 crore is being targeted to be completed by March 31, 2022, said DC Raghav Sharma after reviewing the progress of works at the upcoming facility.

The Mother and Child Hospital was sanctioned by the Union Government about five years ago in Una district. It will have dedicated gynecology and pediatric departments, including neo natal intensive care department. He directed PWD officials to complete the estimates and drawings of all pending works in a time-bound manner so that funds could be allocated for civil works.

The DC directed the health authorities to spruce up the emergency care ward and put up six additional beds. The Tribune
