New Hospitals at Raipur, Korba, and Dallirajhara

Under the Employees State Insurance Services for providing better health facilities to those working in industrial area, State Government is opening two 100-bed hospitals at Raipur and at district headquarters of Korba. Similarly, one 100-bed civil hospital will come up at iron-ore mines area of Dallirajhara. State Government as per the plan would appoint specialist doctors and most modern medical equipment for two ESI hospitals. The initial cost of setting up of the hospital is expected to be ₹4.14 crore. According to health department officials, in current supplementary budget for financial year 2018-19, for both the hospitals the 192 posts administrative set up has been sanctioned by Chief Minister Raman Singh. As per the sanctioned posts, Medical Superintendent, Medical Specialist, Surgery expert, paediatrician, gynaecologist, ENT, ophthalmologist and orthopaedic, radiologist, pathologist one post has been sanctioned. Along with it in each hospital, 32 posts for medical officers, staff nurse 18 each along with pharmacists, operation theatre technician, chief clerk (assistant grade 1), assistant grade-3, lab assistant, driver, peon, ward boy, aaya among others.

Similarly, as per the announcement of Chief Minister Raman Singh, in the renowned iron-ore mining area of Dallirajhara, one 100-bed civil hospital would be started. The mine workers and other residents of the area can avail the medical facilities. Health minister Ajay Chandrakar had directed the departmental officials to complete all the formalities at the earliest so that civil hospital can be established. The health department officials stated that fund of Rs 4.74 crore has been sanctioned by the department. The fund would be made available from the departmental budget. Chief Minister had sanctioned the administrative pots of total 105 for the civil hospital in the supplementary budget 2018-19 in current fiscal year. As per health department officials, the posts sanctioned includes Hospital superintendent, Medicine specialist, surgery, paediatrician, skin specialist, gynaecologist, anaesthesia expert, ENT, ophthalmologist and orthopaedic one post each is included. Additional to it the posts of radiologist, dentist one-one each have been sanctioned. The nine posts of emergency doctors and general duty doctors, along with public health manager one post of PGMO, gynaecologist PGMO, physiotherapist one post each have been sanctioned.

Thus in doctor category 25 posts have been sanctioned additional to it staff nurse and para-medical staff 80 posts and 10 administrative staff posts have been sanctioned. The officers said that Medical record officer one posts, nursing sister two posts, staff nurse three posts, pharmacists category-2 four post and laboratory technicians’ five posts are included. Radiographer two, dresser grade-1 two, medicine convener two posts, general duty attendant 11 posts and audiometrician, dental assistant, ECG technician, cold chain-cum-logistic assistant posts including lab attendant three posts, dresser grade-2 two posts have been sanctioned. The administrative staff posts include office superintendent, statistical assistant and accountant, assistant grade-3 one posts each, ward body three and aaya three posts. – Daily Pioneer
