Minister of State for Employment and Labour (Independent Charge) Santosh Kumar Gangwar would lay foundation stone for new Out Patient Department (OPD) block at ESIC Medical College and Hospital, Sanathnagar, on Wednesday.
The ESIC Medical College and Hospital has a total of 620 beds, including super-speciality back-up with 150 beds. While the bed occupation has remained to be between 83% to 87% from 2016 to 2018, the out-patient load has increased from 3.28 lakh to 4.91 lakh in the past three years.
A total of 6,786 major surgeries were performed in the year of 2018. In a span of three-years, about 140 research projects were undertaken by faculty and 70 research projects by MBBS students. – The Hindu
