New trauma center to open at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, Delhi

Arvind Kejriwal, chief minister, Delhi, laid the foundation stone for a 362-bed trauma center at the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital on September 29. The trauma center is expected to be ready within 18 months and will have ICU beds, emergency beds, and six operation theaters. The Chief Minister claimed that Delhi’s healthcare model was matching with Denmark’s healthcare standard, which has universal healthcare coverage for all in all the hospitals. He also claimed that no other city or nation in the entire world has constructed primary healthcare centers, dispensaries, or clinics in such vast numbers.
