NGT Glare On Med College Construction

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has set up a committee comprising the district magistrate of Jhargram, the divisional forest officer, the West Bengal Pollution Control Board and a senior officer of the ministry of environment, forests and climate change to check allegations by environment activist Subhas Datta that the Jhargram medical college is coming up on forest land without the necessary clearances.

The committee will also find out if the police lines in Jhargram have come up on forest land. – TOI
