Pharmas Recall Products Citing Contamination Concerns

Torrent pharmaceuticals are a huge and well-recognized name in the United States market despite being a company based in India. The pharmaceutical firm has been long in the game in the United States market and has a good hold over the clients.

Not a long time ago some pharmaceutical companies recalled a huge amount of their products as they were risked at the contamination of angiotensin receptor blockers. The torrent pharmaceuticals have also recalled its products in September and expanded the recall on a number of products that it has given out in the past couple of months. The FDA (Food and drug administration) department which overlooks the drugs and other consumer items for their safety and hazards has issued a warning to major pharmaceutical companies and torrent pharma is one of them. The warning came in as concerns grew over the manufacturing of the products from the pharma were believed to be not up to the FDA standards and with this warning it expects the pharma to better the situation and report back with the improvements made to the process according to the set standards.

As the United States is facing a shortage of drugs these recalls from pharma have only made them worse and if the pharmas do not better their systems the crisis is expected to get worse. It will be interesting to see how the pharmas fare in the wake of warnings and crisis.
