Since 2003, Sowar Medical is an exclusive importer/distributor of OPTI Medical Systems Inc., USA, the manufacturer of point-of-care blood gas and electrolyte analyzers, using optical fluorescence/reflectance technology. In single-used cartridge-based system, OPTI Medical is leading from the front, giving tough competition to other manufacturers of this segment. Continuous upgradation from the model OPTI CCA to OPTI CCA TS and now OPTI CCA TS2, OPTI has always ensured to give the best to its valuable users. With excellent features like built-in thermal printer, built-in rechargeable battery back-up of more than 4–6 hours, handheld as well as bench top, calibration of cassette before sampling, automatic sample aspiration, long cassette shelf life – 6 to 12 months from the date of manufacture, maintenance-free operation with different cartridge configurations as per users choice, OPTI has established its name in this segment firmly.

As a result, Sowar Medical has succeeded in installing more than 2500 OPTI blood gas analyzers in India that includes trade market and government, including reputed government organizations.

In the IVD segment, Sowar Medical has acquired exclusive importing/distributing rights in India for Norma Instruments Zrt., a Hungarian company that specializes in the designing and manufacturing of high-quality and innovative blood analysis systems, called 3-part/5-part hematology analyzers that set new standards in terms of features, functions, and style. What makes this device special and innovative is its microfluidics technology that enables to reduce reagent consumption significantly that specialized in the designing and manufacturing.

Another state-of-art technology-equipped system added recently in the product range of Sowar Medical as an exclusive importer/distributor in India is the EXIAS e|1 Analyzer by Exias Medical, Austria, an electrolyte system intended for in-vitro measurements of Na+, K+, Cl−, Ca2+ as well as pH and Hct, in whole-blood, serum, plasma, and urine (undiluted). High accuracy, ease-of-use, and the maintenance-free system underline the operational functionally and outstanding performance of our e|1 analyzer. All it needs is an all-in-one cartridge, having various pack sizes of 150 tests, 300 tests, and 600 tests, which can be used as per the user’s choice. Exias e1 electrolyte analyzer is an absolutely maintenance-free system, eliminating recurring costs of frequent electrode replacement, cleaning conditioning solutions, or deproteniser.

In the veterinary segment, Sowar Medical has exclusive importing/distributing rights for the veterinary giant IDEXX Laboratories, USA, for high-quality equipment in veterinary diagnosis like 5-part hematology, advance chemistry, and urine analyzers. Today, Sowar Medical has huge numbers of installations base in India with strong sales and service network spread all over the country.
