Roadmap 2021

The year 2020 certainly had been very challenging for the entire world. The COVID-19 pandemic has surely made the life miserable for all human beings irrespective of region, religion, caste, creed, and gender. We as a healthcare provider have been involved in treating and managing COVID-19 patients’ right from the beginning of the pandemic. With several challenges on the way, we feel proud to share that along with our dedicated team, have treated one of the highest numbers of patients suffering of corona at our hospital in the city within private sector hospitals.

Now since we have already welcomed the year 2021, we positively look forward to overcome the challenges and the negativities so as to plan and execute a better strategy in the current year ahead.

The year 2021 is more special since we have to perform better and plan to do much more than usual because we have certain backlogs of previous year too. This year we have planned to extend or expand few of our services in mainly the following facets:

Developing our network hospitals
With the professional footmark of 25 years in healthcare sector, we would now like to create a group of network hospitals and expand our presence in Punjab. Though this was planned in 2020 itself however we look forward to execute this from this year onwards.
We strategize to come up with a multi-superspeciality hospital in Ludhiana and two more multi-speciality hospitals in Phagwara and Moga respectively. These may be green field or brown field projects. All these centers will undergo procurement process of several basic and high end medical equipment.

Within our existing hospital (Capitol Hospital Jalandhar), we plan the followings:

Hemodialysis
Dialysis is one of the departments where we experience good number of patients and foresee to expand the number of machines in the department.

Currently, we are functioning with 9 machines in ground floor, which we plan to shift to another floor and extend it to 16-18 machines. We also plan to dedicate separate machines for HIV, HCV, and Hep B.

Radiation oncology/radiotherapy
In last couple of years we have done commendable work in-terms of radiotherapy with one Linac accelerator and now with the gradual elevation in patient load, we feel that there is a need of second Linac accelerator.
We already have provision in terms of infrastructure however we have to now plan for the procurement, statutory compliances and appropriate staffing.

Radiology
The key radiological diagnostic equipments are already installed at our hospital which mainly includes Digital X-ray, MRI, CT-Scan, PET-CT, USG, etc. We now plan to add mammography into the system and facilitate it with an additional radiologist and technical staff.

OB-GYN and pediatrics
These departments we did not focus much in previous years however this year we plan to set up this department well. We plan to procure few related equipment and also plan for a Gynae OT. This year onwards we plan to explore pediatrics as well and would like to set up NICU-PICU at our facility. Appropriate staffing and equipment are obvious in our plan.
