The year 2017 has been a fantastic one for Carestream India. Our clear focus on understanding customer needs and efforts, to create the best possible products for them, has enabled us to yet again, gain market share in all our business units. Our emphasis on patient care, turnaround times, workflow solutions, and improving the efficiency of existing technologies has led to the development of a range of products that are futuristic and yet easy to operate. Our printer Kiosk and the Onsight 3D Extremity System are a testimony to this.
With the availability of high-speed broadband, we see teleradiology and artificial intelligence (AI) as a trend, which should gain momentum. Uberisation in medical imaging can easily be imagined, as the data can flow very easily now. We just have to think differently!
Carestream is a global company, present in over 170 countries all over the world. More than 90 percent of medical institutions in these countries use at least one Carestream product. That is your faith in us! Our technologies are developed keeping customers in mind, and whenever possible, we introduce the new technologies in India along with the worldwide launch. Of course, we have to assess the potential need for a particular technology while planning its introduction in India.
In the month of June this year Carestream Health India received the Best Radiology Company of the Year award at the 7th Elets, Healthcare Leaders Forum at New Delhi. We are honored to receive this award and sincerely believe that it would not have been possible without the support of our customers. Our earnest gratitude to them for being a part of our journey.
A major area of strength of Carestream is our effective sales and service network, which assures our customers that we shall always be there for them. We have a direct presence in all four main regions of the country through four regional offices, which are supported by 33 warehouses, 100+ channel partners, and over 300 employees spread across India.
I strongly believe that our employees are our assets and we will do whatever it takes to develop them to be able to confidently manage challenges and always remain ahead of the curve. This is affirmed as Carestream Health India is recognized as a Great Place to Work as per the recent survey conducted by the global research and consulting firm, Great Place to Work Institute. It is an important validation and truly a proud moment for all of us at Carestream.
Today, we are at the cusp of the biggest digital transformation the world has seen ever since evolution. The progress in technology is pushing us to think beyond our comfort levels and we must be more adaptive to these dramatic changes. We at Carestream, will undoubtedly aim to be ahead of the game. We will continue this momentum of launching great products and serve our customers with a spirit of unmatched service.
