Praxis, the healthcare consulting arm of Jaipan Industries Ltd. has been providing consulting services to hospitals, diagnostics, doctors, and various other providers for the last 12 years. Praxis consults in areas of planning and management of hospitals where it caters to several hospital owners, doctors, business houses, real estate developers, etc. to plan a hospital starting with a market research and financial feasibility study. A large and growing population, a booming economy, rapid urbanization, which has expanded the middle class, rising diseases, and increased awareness level has enabled the sector to grow at a much higher rate. Praxis caters to this need of planning and setting up of new facilities.
Going on to complete architectural work and space planning, and equipment planning and procurement, Praxis further helps with commissioning of the facility keeping in mind all the quality facets laid down by NABH and JCI. Patient safety and infection control are strong pillars to planning of a good facility. Praxis not only adheres to these laws but also keeps in mind effective workflow and patient flow to improve efficiency of the hospital in all aspects while planning a good facility.

The roadmap for 2018 is to take over complete operations for hospitals of all sizes and bring international best practices to Indian hospitals to be able to provide better patient care at affordable prices and still be able to give investors and stakeholders value for their money.
There remains a significant gap in terms of number of beds or number of doctors available, which is far below the WHO requirement. Apart from this the sector has multiple issues with regards to infrastructure, availability of adequate investment, skilled human resource etc. Praxis plans to be able to cater to some of these deficiencies by providing better training platforms for skilled manpower through education-focused programs for various levels of staff.
Praxis also plans to enter the space of diagnostics and primary care centers with a roll out of a chain of such centers in metros of India. With a strong parent company like Jaipan Industries Ltd. having a distribution network in 23 countries, Praxis plans to leverage on this to establish the primary care centers on a franchisee model.
The healthcare industry in India is growing by leaps and bounds. It is one of the fastest and most rapidly growing sectors.
