Doctors say that only 1 in 10 persons survive a cardiac arrest. The survival rate can be improved by providing immediate care to a person during cardiac arrest through three simple steps – by calling 108, starting chest compressions early and shifting the patient to the nearest medical facility. Dr RV Prabhakar Rao, CEO, BIACH&RI said that a person with such knowledge could save precious lives during such situations created by stroke or by providing first aid immediately. Having one such person in a house hold can save a life, he added. The program was attended by Dr RV Prabhakar Rao, CEO, BIACH&RI; G Ravi Kumar, COO, BIACH&RI; Dr Kalpana Raghunath, MS, BIACH&RI along para-medical and non-medical staff of the hospital. – The Hans India
