This compact and lightweight pump is engineered with the latest technology, and is built to provide both convenience and safety for both medical professionals and patients.

With growing demand for use of syringe infusion pumps these days, and an increase in requirement of good aesthetics, AKAS have come up with a new innovative display for AKAS SYRU 4004 that can display the parameters, which can be visible far distant due to integration of antiglare technology. An update in pressure range of 100–1000 mmHg with increments of 50 mmHg is introduced along with automatic pressure reduction post occlusion. It has a separate key for manual and auto bolus for easy access. It is possible to manually prime the tube before connecting it to the patient by pushing the new Prime button, which fills the tube as per the flow rate and volume specified on the disposable’s label.

It can automatically detect the syringe sizes in range from 5 mL–50 mL and can deliver the fluids at a highest flow rate of 2000 mL/hr. It is also equipped with a tube holder for the pressure line. It has a latest wing-type plunger that makes placement of the syringe much easier and fail-proof. It is highly compact and has a capability to stack more than four pumps to transfer between the wards.

For ensuring patient safety, AKAS SYRU 4004 has various safety alarms and indications like target reached, plunger dis-engaged, not engaged, syringe load error/siphoning effect, end of syringe, occlusion and pre occlusion, KVO mode, high-pressure mode, near to target, battery mode, and low battery. Flow rate can be adjusted in the machine without stopping the infusion. Infusion data prior switched off can also be viewed. Keep vein open flow rate is available in the range of 0.1–20 mL/hr. Bolus volume is present in the range of 0.1 mL up to the maximum volume of the syringe.
