Bemetara Hospital gets dialysis, oxygen unit

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday dedicated a dialysis facility and a 500 LPM capacity oxygen plant at the Bemetara District Hospital. He announced plans to install a CT scan machine at the hospital.

Baghel was on his second day’s visit to Bemetara district on Sunday.

Appreciating the Lions Club Bemetara, Baghel said it has set an excellent example of service by providing the dialysis unit to the hospital. Patients were earlier forced to visit cities like Delhi and Mumbai for dialysis.

Even the poorest of the poor can now take advantage at the local level, an official communication quoted him as saying.

During the second wave of Covid-19, everyone understood the importance of oxygen, Baghel said. The state fulfilled the requirement of 19,500 oxygen cylinders during the time oxygen shortage.

Chhattisgarh supplied oxygen to Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and south India, he said. Daily Pioneer
