Bharath Uppilliappan steps down as CEO of Dr Lal Pathlabs

Bharath Uppiliappan has resigned from the position of chief executive officer, Dr Lal Pathlabs Limited. His last working day is May 20. Uppiliappan had joined in June 2017 as Chief Operating Officer for Region I.

Uppiliappan was appointed in Apr 2020, for a tenure of 3.92 years. He directly owns 0.011% of the company’s shares, worth ₹22.17M.

Uppiliappan served as Circle CEO of Bharti Airtel, where he was responsible for growing market share, revenues and people engagement. In his 20 year career span, he has focused on P&L management and strategy roles with industry leading companies in Telecom (Airtel), FMCG (Hindustan Unilever Ltd) and Retail (Bharti Wal Mart) across multiple categories like Foods, Apparel, Home & Personal Care and General Merchandise.

He holds PGDM from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai and is an Electrical & Electronics Engineer from NIT Trichy.
