Eitan Konstantino joins Genesis MedTech As CTO

Genesis MedTech Group has appointed Dr. Eitan Konstantino (Eitan) as the chief technology officer of vascular interventions to promote Genesis in neurovascular, cardiovascular and peripheral Technological innovation in the vascular space. His responsibilities will include formulating and implementing the group’s global vascular intervention R&D strategy, promoting the improvement of R&D and product capabilities, and ensuring the implementation and management of core R&D projects. The goal is to promote innovative development and further expand the group’s product portfolio.

Eitan has more than 20 years of brilliant performance in the MedTech field, most notably many breakthrough inventions. He has a reputation for inventing and developing stents, special angioplasty balloons (AngioSculpt and Chocolate®, etc.), Nitinol vascular devices, and drug/device combination products. Since then, his products have been acquired or distributed by major multinational companies, including Medtronic, Teleflex, Philips, and Boston Scientific. These products are now on the market in most hospitals in the United States, generating nearly $1 billion in cumulative revenue.

Currently, Eitan has more than 170 U.S. and international patents and patent applications. Eitan holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Technion, the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. During his tenure at Technion, he won the Rothschild Creativity Award and the Schwartz Award for Outstanding Achievement.
