Developed at Transasia’s global subsidiary, Erba Europe, these state-of-the-art 3- and 5- part fully automated differential analyzers will set a new benchmark in quality, turnaround time and affordability of automation in hematology while showcasing improved accuracy and reproducibility of blood counts.

With their ability to report CBC and WBC differentials with high precision and accuracy, automated analyzers aid in the screening of anemia and its causes, indicate the presence of hemoglobinopathies, help in detection of cytopenia, septicemia or leukemia, and platelet-related pathologies and disorders.

The Elite 580 is a 5-part differential fully automated analyzer with an autoloader. It is based on the principle of electrical impedance for CBC and tri angle laser-based flow cytometry for WBC differentials, that provides detailed information on the cell size and intracellular density with 3D differential scattergram. With a throughput of 80 samples/hour and a STAT mode for urgent sample testing, Elite 580 offers greater operational efficiency for high workload laboratories. A host of other features include:

• 22-inch large colored LCD touch screen with graphic ID for clearly viewing the 3D scattergrams; rack ID for better sample traceability; highly accurate reporting of results with specific flagging messages to alarm for microscopic slide review; suitable for testing of samples of all age groups as it requires only 20 µl of the blood sample;
• Reports 29 parameters including P-LCR, P-LCC, PDW-SD that aid in differential diagnosis of cases with abnormal platelet counts and RDW-SD, RDW-CV, and MCV for screening the causes of anemia;
• Real-time inventory management system (RIMS) with RFID, eliminates manual reporting of reagents on the system; unique auto diluent dispensing mechanism (ADMM) eliminates errors during pre-dilution;
• Advanced software with large storage capacity of up to 100,000 reports with graphs;
• Enhanced connectivity with multiple USB ports and 1 LAN port for bi-directional interfacing (with optional LIS solution); and
• Onboard QC programs, L-J and X-Bar formats to monitor performance.
