Greetings of the seasons & heartiest congratulations as well as felicitations of your appointment as Chairperson of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

Being the last speaker today & a little bit of digital disturbance caused by connectivity, I’m not sure that you could hear my comments about you.

At the cost of repetition may I state that on behalf of Pharmexcil, Indian Pharmaceutical industry & on my personal behalf, I consider you as a “DIVA” & “LOH PURUSH” who has completely transformed Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP) as the most vibrant arm of the govt. having been lackluster & sort of non performing department in the past.

In the last 13 months you’ve brought about an incredible metamorphosis of DoP along with your team. You’ve worked on the 24×7 module during the most challenging times of Covid-19 in India & Overseas.

You’ve unquestionably led by example with “Fire in the belly” as you normally urge all of us to have.

Irrespective of various aspects you’ve treated all industry arms & associations with 7 major pillars of successful conduct which has led to humongous synergy of the departments :

With your excellency in Academia & phenomenal career of 34 years of amazingly successful conduct par excellence, you’ve been Messiah of India Equity in terms of further cementing  India as Pharmacy of the World which has been greatly appreciated by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji besides practically all the nations of the world for whom you facilitated supplies of Hydroxychloroquine, Paracetamol & Ibuprofen just to name a few.

You’ve further brought to India glory & laurance as well as Medical Devices such as Ventilator, PPE, Mask etc. wherein you’ve brought about self sufficiency in a matter of hardly 30 days from the time it was initiated with you.

History of Indian Pharmaceutical will not be complete without your landmark intervention & implementation of both Pharma Parks & PLI initiatives which will go a long way in further augmenting “Atmanirbharta – Self Reliance” as enunciated & promoted by Hon’ble PM of India Modi Ji.

We’re delighted by your taking over as Chairmanship of TRAI, which in our considered opinion is one of the most challenging & onerous responsibility in the country today wherein India will have the next way of telecom revolution.

Having known you over the last 13 months as Secretary in the role model of CEO/MD of a large corporation, we’re confident you’ll take TRAI to unparalleled next level of performance.

With the largest telecom network in the world & a huge density of mobility under your stewardship & exemplary leadership India will soon be aglobal leader in telecom to be envied by one & all.
