Four more hospitals of Chhattisgarh get NQAS certification

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Wednesday awarded the National Quality Assurance Standard (NQAS) Certificate to four more government hospitals in Chhattisgarh.

These include two hospitals in Dhamtari district (Gedara and Gadadih Sub Health and Wellness Centre), the Aheri Sub Health and Wellness Centre at Durg and the Rambhata Urban Primary Health Centre in Raigarh, an official communication said.

The evaluation is based on 12 standard quality parameters mainly service delivery, patient satisfaction, clinical services, inputs, infection control, support services, quality management and outputs.

The Gadadih Centre scored 94 percent marks, the Gedara and Rambhata Centre got 90 percent and the Aheri Centre 87 percent marks in the evaluation.

So far 61 government hospitals in Chhattisgarh have got the National Quality Assurance Standard Certificate.

These include 10 district hospitals, seven community health centres, 26 primary health centres, 13 urban primary health centres and five sub health centres.

The objective of the certification is to strengthen the facilities of the hospitals and provide quality health care to the public. Daily Pioneer
