Government Policies And Measures In Preventive Healthcare Segment

The preventive healthcare segment has always been deemed as one of the most critical aspects of the healthcare industry. Like any sub-branch of the healthcare industry, preventive healthcare segment too is heavily regulated! The three phases of PMSSY are aimed towards building medical institutions in various states of India so that affordable healthcare facilities that are also optimal can be made accessible to everyone across India.
  • Mukhya Mantri State Health care Scheme: In 2016, the Himachal government launched the Mukhya Mantri State Health care Scheme for those who aren’t enrolled in any other medical reimbursement scheme. This particular medical scheme covers 9 categories that range from senior citizens to part time workers and daily wage workers. It is estimated that this scheme will benefit more than 2 lakh families.
  • Himachal Pradesh Universal Health Protection Scheme: This particular scheme is adjunct to all the other schemes and an attempt to extend coverage to everyone else who is not enrolled in any other medical reimbursement scheme in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
