Medray announces acquisition of Avista Medical in Ireland

Medray Imaging Systems has acquired Avista Medical the Dublin based medical diagnostic business. Avista Medical is a strategic acquisition for Medray in Ireland, introducing high end imaging equipment to Medray’s existing portfolio. The acquisition is highly complementary and further strengthens Medray’s radiology equipment and service offering to healthcare customers in Ireland.

Founded in 2004, by Matt Corcoran, Ciaran Ronan and Liam Quinlan, Avista Medical has developed a best-in-class medical imaging equipment and support service to radiology departments in public and private hopsitals across Ireland. Avista Medical is the long-term agent and support specialist for Canon Medical Systems, the global manufacturer of CT, MRI, X-Ray and Ultrasound diagnostic imaging equipment in Ireland.

The acquisition of Avista Medical is Medray’s fifth strategic acquisition supported by growth capital investor Erisbeg. Erisbeg invested in Medray in 2019 and has supported Medray in its growth and expansion across Ireland and the U.K. over the past 4 years.
