New Mexico reports 5 new deaths, 688 additional COVID-19 cases

The New Mexico Department of Health (NMDOH) reported five additional COVID-19-related deaths Tuesday.

The latest deaths include:
Two recent deaths:

  • A female in her 60s from Eddy County. The individual was hospitalized.
  • A second female in her 60s from Eddy County. The individual had underlying conditions.

Three* deaths >30 days:

  •  A female in her 40s from McKinley County.
  • A female in her 80s from Otero County. The individual was a resident of Good Samaritan Betty Dare facility in Alamogordo.
  • A female in her 90s from Otero County. The individual was hospitalized and had underlying conditions. The individual was a resident of Good Samaritan Betty Dare facility in Alamogordo.

The number of deaths of New Mexico residents related to COVID-19 is now 4,430.

In addition to the deaths, the state reported 688 additional COVID-19 cases. As of Tuesday, New Mexico has reported a total of 215,781 cases. KOB
