The NKV‐550 ventilator is designed to provide all the essential capabilities required by clinicians for ventilating adult, pediatric and neonatal patients. All essential therapies like invasive, non-invasive, and hi-flow oxygen therapy help optimize the workflow of the clinician as changing ventilation approaches does not require a change of ventilator.

Workflow optimization. The NKV‐550 assists the clinician in optimizing workflow. The intuitive and configurable user interface can be easily customized so that the information presented on the screen is the most meaningful for the clinician. Company’s app based design provides consistent protocols and simplifies standard procedures. Large HD touchscreen ensures bright and crisp display of graphics and numerical data visibility to care givers all the time. User-friendly interface reduces confusions during operations.

Lung protection. The NKV-550 series ventilator system provides the tools that allow clinicians to provide lung protective ventilation to their patients.
The ideal body weight calculator assists the clinician in setting an appropriate tidal volume strategy. With monitoring of tidal volume in ml/kg and estimated driving pressure breath to breath, clinicians can better ensure that they are ventilating their patients in a protective way. A tidal volume alarm based on ml/kg provides an additional layer of protection to the patient.
Gentle Lung is a suite of Lung Protective applications that offer Open Lung approach for ARDS management. These applications are designed to provide a simple, systematic Open Lung approach with lung protective driving pressure control in real time.

Infection control. The NKV-550 Series ventilator system offers Protective Control for clinicians treating patients with contagious diseases in strict isolation, and for patients undergoing a radiologic procedure. The NKV-550 ventilator allows for Time-Critical intervention of infectious patients. It can reduce frequency of caregivers having to enter the infectious environment.
Connectivity. The NKV-550 series ventilator provides a RS-232 serial communication port for connectivity to patient monitors and HIS/CIS HL7. There is also a nurse call connection.
Volumetric capnography. The NKV 550 offers main stream capnography with capONE sensor. capONE, weighing just 4 grams and offering the smallest dead space in the industry, allows clinician for continuous monitoring of volumetric capnography in real time.

Minimal maintenance. The NKV-550 is designed to have minimal maintenance requirements.
