Roadmap 2022

Stepping in a new year with the rising threat of Covid variant Omicron, it seems like pandemic has posed a massive burden on the Indian healthcare system. Despite huge success in the vaccination drive, effective policy measures ranging from amendments in medical rules, FDI, GOI schemes, pumping billions in financial aid, it seems a long race that needs to be won. Since the last two years, our healthcare system has been a roller-coaster that has witnessed a paradigm shift, rapid growth, flooding in technological and innovative solutions, and much more, but the ambiguity continues to dent the morale of common people with highly infectious Omicron variant spreading in India with massive pace. In these unprecedented times, the Pushpanjali Group is looking at unprecedented areas to improve its capabilities in serving our motto Health for all, people caring for people.

Pushpanjali Hospital & Research Centre is known to provide the best healthcare services with 19+ departments under one roof, headed by the best, senior, experienced doctors, and medical staff.

In 2020-21, we achieved great milestones and achievements in healthcare services as we ran a separate 150-bedded hospital and 35-bedded hotel to serve Covid patients, and got various appreciations from authorities in relevance to our theme Happy patient, happy us. We expanded and acquired healthcare institutes, ranging from the opening of a new super specialty clinic at Mathura, acquiring 150-bed WIMS Pushpanjali hospital in Agra, realizing the vision of an integrated cancer care institute with full-fledged state-of-the-art world-class surgical, medical, and radiation services will start soon to give its services to oncology patients within around 200+ km radius of Agra.

Last year, apart from empaneling in Ayushman Bharat Scheme to getting NABH accreditation, we have done 4600+ OTs, which is a major achievement in the region. We have done around 150 urosurgeries per month in our state-of-the-art urology department with best equipment and machines, which itself speaks of the trust that our patients have on us.

Our interest in academics from the opening of our Pushpanjali College of Nursing is helping many students and young generation in fulfilling their dreams to serve the society as a paramedic. We are providing various diploma courses to doctors, which is a major boost for medical education in Agra region.

This year in 2022, as challenges are posed by changing national and global scenarios of healthcare, we would like to expand, acquire and improve our capabilities to serve better and aspire to become the best and robust healthcare institution in the country.

For that, we are installing world-class, state-of-the-art cancer equipment and biomedical machines of the latest technology in our almost developed oncology unit. We would also like to establish the best and advanced futuristic MRI in Pushpanjali Hospital. We will upgrade all our major departments by infusing advanced and best equipment and machines for best outputs, hassle-free, and quick working. We will expand our OTs from 10 modular OTs to 14, which will help our doctors to do more and more surgeries and operations. Our homecare services will also be upgraded for better benefits to the society.

With the recently released 4th edition of the state health index by NITI Aayog for the year 2019-20, among large states category, Uttar Pradesh has done well and we would like to put our institute’s contribution for the state and the country. We have come a long way, but still there is much more to learn about managing our healthcare system. Various GOI initiatives from Make in India, PLI, CGHS, ECHS, and various health plans from Ayushman Bharat, Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadi Yojana, Ayush, are helping the society to get the best healthcare at cheaper or no cost.

So, we would like to conclude that issues are on many fronts and that needs concentrated efforts. Nonetheless, a holistic approach is needed to develop an ideal healthcare delivery model, where every single person would get quality care. Hopefully, all the steps are undertaken in this direction to provide effective healthcare and to create a healthy and empowered India.
